You Should Live Here?

I just took a quiz on hgtv.com to "find the perfect city for your personality" - - and the result was (drumroll, please) Austin, Texas? I always thought I had fairly good geographic knowledge... are there mountains in Austin that I missed? And what is it about these quizzes that we love to take them? hmmm

Saturday, January 20, 2007: The "official" ceremonial ground-breaking for our new home near Pumpkintown, South Carolina!


The rough grading was done before we arrived on site to approve the actual placement of the house - the white line visible in the foreground is the tape measure marking the edge of the front porch. The house is positioned to look directly at Table Rock (large granite outcropping in background).

The next step is digging the foundation and pouring basement walls - which will happen this week as soon as it stops raining.
